HOW CAN COUNSELLING HELP?
Counselling is a skilled way of helping individuals with personal issues and difficulties. We work with you to help you make sense of your problems and move forward with your life. Counselling offers you a safe and confidential space to express your feelings and thoughts and help you gain a new perspective, identify where you feel stuck, and give you a greater sense of the choices you have in life.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed, or if you have an issue or situation that seriously affects your day-to-day life and are not sure what to do next, we will help you question the way you look at things, the way you behave or react to situations or people, and help you develop new strategies to cope with situations. We will take the time to get to know you, develop an understanding of your circumstances, listening to what you have to say and offering support and insight. Our main aim will be to help you to help yourself, building your self-confidence.
We recognise that it can be an enormous step for someone to seek counselling and our Counsellors will do all they can to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible and to put you at ease. It can be a great help having this support and will give you the feeling that you are not on your own. A good Counsellor can make such a difference to someone struggling with a particular issue or life in general and help a person to develop their own inner strength. Our team of trained counsellors are warm, empathetic and respectful and will listen to you without judgment.
